As an important large-scale industry technology event in China's beer industry, the CIBC has, since its establishment in 2010, invited nearly a hundred globally recognized professors and experts to deliver keynote speeches, with a cumulative attendance of over 2000 participants. It has become a renowned professional innovative technology conference in the global beer industry, widely noticed by the beer sector and related fields both domestically and internationally. The conference is jointly organized by the China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries, the International Joint Research Center for Quality and Safety of Alcoholic Beverages, the China Alcoholic Drinks Association, along with international scientific research institutions such as the German Berlin Institute for Brewing (VLB), the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC), and the French Institute for Brewing and Malting (iFBM), as well as well-known enterprises like Anheuser-Busch InBev and China Resources Snow Breweries. The conference aims to strengthen the exchange and cooperation in beer technology domestically and internationally, promote the healthy and sustainable development of the beer industry, enhance the scientific and technological level of China's beer industry, facilitate industry-academia-research technology cooperation, and strengthen the technical linkage and application of the upstream and downstream of the beer industry.
On September 12, 2023, the 6th CIBC was held in Qingdao with the theme "Together for a Better Future." The conference focused on four aspects: product and consumption, ecology and sustainable development, brewing science and technological innovation, and craft beer and new business formats. Particularly, we invited four academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, over 20 top industry experts, more than 10 corporate representatives, and over 20 international authoritative experts to share the latest scientific research achievements and discuss the technical commonalities and future development trends of the beer industry. Concurrently, the event featured a beer technology interactive experience area, a display of scientific and technological achievements in China's beer industry, an exhibition on the brief history of modern beer industry development in China, a theme exhibition for Tsingtao Beer's 120th anniversary, an exhibition of excellent Chinese beer suppliers, and a series of thematic visits to the "China Beer Capital · Qingdao" beer culture.
