Baijiu metabolism lesson

After entering the human body, alcohol is rapidly absorbed into the blood circulation through the stomach, and then catabolizes in the liver. Alcohol metabolism in the human body mainly converts ethanol into acetaldehyde through alcohol dehydrogenase in the liver, and then converts acetaldehyde into acetic acid through acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, while acetic acid enters the tricarboxylic acid cycle in the human body for absorption and utilization. Therefore, the size of the human body's innate alcohol intake mainly depends on the activity of the key enzymes of human enzyme alcohol metabolism, and the gene expression of these two enzymes is different for each person, so the human body's alcohol metabolism ability can be predicted to a large extent by measuring the expression amount of individual specific enzyme activity genes. This is the basic principle of genetic alcohol measurement.

After testing, your genetically determined alcohol tolerance is higher than 6 liang（300ml）, your alcohol metabolism speed is faster, the real comfortable drinking amount combined with the physical state, rational drinking, maintain healthy drinking habits. Your SNP site test results on ADH1B showed unit point variation, moderate alcohol dehydrogenase activity, and rapid alcohol metabolism to acetaldehyde. Your test results at the SNP site on ALDH2 showed no variation. Your acetaldehyde dehydrogenase activity is high, acetaldehyde metabolism to acetic acid is fast, acetaldehyde is not easy to accumulate in the body. Note: Excessive drinking is harmful to health.
